An exciting and challenging opportunity, based at our Support Centre in Kuilsriver, has just become available for a Visual Merchandising & Marketing Specialist within the Ackermans Woman Standalone Business Unit. We are looking for a creative, efficient, and driven individual who will be responsible for internally coordinating the Ackermans Marketing and Visual Merchandise initiatives to provide a unique customer experience in the Ackermans Woman stores, through means of the Seasonal Look, Promo Grid & Manual process as well as Operations and Marketing communication. | |
Qualifications | Essential: A Grade 12 Certificate/Matric A tertiary qualification in Visual Communication Design or equivalent. Preferred: A qualification in PR/Communications would be an advantage. |
Knowledge, Skills and Experience | KNOWLEDGE required: Knowledge of VM best practices and principles, techniques and VM trends as well an excellent grasp of customer behaviour Knowledge of advertising/marketing platforms Excellent comprehension of the marketing strategies, branding, customer behaviour and principles relevant to value retailing, as well as a practical grasp of the South African industry Working knowledge of electronic and print communications SKILLS required: Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing at all levels within the company Excellent organisational, planning, project management, and time management expertise Self-reliant and results-orientated Well developed interpersonal skills A strong creative flair Effective problem-solving abilities with the ability to think out of the box Practical thinking style The ability to: Translate VM specifications into the specific store environments and displays Evaluate research, market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan alternations as needed. Key Responsibilities | Liaise with internal partners to ensure the Ackermans Woman VM and Marketing initiatives are aligned with the seasonal look Manage the seasonal look process through researching trends, best practices and offering practical and relevant advice/solutions Manage the monthly promotional process through researching trends, best practices and ensure an agile response to market and business needs Liaise with internal partners to implement the advertising operational plan Support the departments in tracking and monitoring of campaigns & promotions Manage marketing-focused initiatives, such as competitions, engagement initiatives, new store openings and social media campaigns Governance of information published on the company intranet All administration related to the above processes |
