The ideal candidate should be proactive in upholding company policies, implementing best practices, and demonstrating good judgment to achieve organizational goals. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain communication with vehicle crews via radio and telephone to track their whereabouts and actions
- Use and enforce the use of codes in radio transmissions
- Ensure vehicle crews are familiar with and adhere to emergency procedures
- Keep an accurate daily log of all vehicle movements, including specific notations and client interactions
- Confirm client requirements with crew when a ‘no service’ instruction is given
- Orient new road crew members on their schedules for efficient and safe driving
- Maintain a list of emergency contact numbers and operational maps for planning purposes
- Address client complaints promptly and escalate recurring issues to management
- Update the code book for new clients or terminated services
- Prepare box pre-lists accurately and communicate changes to the box room controller
- Coordinate with the counting house supervisor to understand operating requirements
- Ensure compliance with operational directives related to client service and contractual obligations
- Establish communication with other branches for emergency planning
- Report accidents or incidents to the manager for schedule adjustments and minimal disruptions
- Perform any other duties assigned by management
IDEAL CANDIDATE: Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CIT operations preferred
- Matric Certificate/Grade 12
- PSIRA Grade A certification
- CIT Competency
- Previous experience in a control room is advantageous
- Clean ITC record
- Valid code 10 driver’s license with PDP preferred
Knowledge
- Effective communication with staff and clients
- Understanding of ISO Quality Management principles
- Ability to work well under pressure
