JOB OBJECTIVES – Job Category: Marketing

  • Responsible for the effective planning and execution of marketing campaigns, communications, events or functions, and coordinate all related requirements.
  • Brief creative agencies and production companies with clear objectives, requirements, budgets, and timelines.
  • Ensure that campaigns are executed within established timelines, are continuously optimised based on performance and that results are fed back to key stakeholders timeously.
  • Coordinate approval processes across key stakeholders within the business.
  • Form and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders within ShopriteX, as well as other brand marketing teams, marketing agencies, and business stakeholders.
  • Responsible for post-campaign reporting and driving learnings into the business.
  • Conduct market and competitor analyses to identify key trends and insights, and marketing research to support the continuous analyses, refinement, and improvement of the ShopriteX marketing approach.
  • Conduct research, planning, and any other marketing support in the conceptualisation of new campaigns.
  • Support the ShopriteX team with communications, events and/or other interventions that promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Create thorough and visually appealing marketing presentations.
  • Prepare?and draft content for presentations or marketing/communication material for campaigns and events.
  • Support the team with day-to-day marketing and administration tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree or Diploma in Marketing OR Degree or Diploma in Business or equivalent +3 years’ experience working in a marketing coordinator or similar role within a marketing function with a well-developed understanding of marketing concepts as well as experience executing marketing campaigns.

EXPERIENCE

  • Exposure to working with media and creative agencies – (desired).
  • Experience in a retail environment – (desired)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge of digital marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, B2B marketing and internal communications – (desired).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 with intermediate level of PPT skills – (essential)
