🛍️ Purpose of the Position
The Store Manager will lead the store team to achieve key business objectives, including:
- Driving sales and customer service.
- Controlling store costs.
- Minimising risks and stock losses.
- Managing administration.
- Maintaining world-class store standards.
- Training, coaching and developing team members.
📋 Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Increasing sales through excellent customer service and world-class store standards.
- Maintaining the store image and ensuring effective stock management.
- Implementing promotional activities.
- Minimising stock losses by maintaining a healthy store culture.
- Following security, stock-handling and cash-handling procedures.
- Managing costs in line with the company’s low-cost culture.
- Ensuring store administration is completed according to company guidelines.
- Leading and developing a dynamic team of PEP employees, known as Dynamos.
- Providing team training, coaching and performance management.
- Maintaining health, safety and housekeeping standards.
🎓 PEP Store Manager Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Proficiency in English.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Retail or a related field would be an advantage.
- Ideally 1–2 years of experience in a retail environment in a leadership role.
- Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office and/or Google GSuite, would be an advantage.
