Discovery Finance Internship

Are you a recent graduate looking for a Finance Internship in Gauteng? The Discovery Institute of Training is offering an exciting Financial Learning & Development Internship in Sandton for candidates interested in finance, financial education, economics, financial planning, research and learning development.

This internship provides practical exposure to financial education, financial planning, research, content development, digital learning and programme evaluation within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

The intern may assist with:

  • Researching personal finance and financial education topics.
  • Developing financial learning content and presentations.
  • Fact-checking financial information, calculations and statistics.
  • Creating workbooks, activities, case studies and digital learning resources.
  • Researching financial behaviours and learning needs.
  • Reviewing content for accuracy, clarity and accessibility.
  • Supporting quality assurance and proofreading.
  • Collecting and analysing feedback and evaluation data.
  • Preparing reports, summaries and presentations.
  • Maintaining financial education databases and resources.
  • Supporting workshops, campaigns and events.
  • Working with Learning & Development specialists and subject matter experts.
  • Managing assigned projects and meeting deadlines.

Education Requirements

Applicants should have a completed three-year diploma or undergraduate degree in one of the following:

  • Financial Planning
  • Finance
  • Financial Management
  • Economics
  • Investment Management
  • Commerce with a relevant major
  • A closely related financial services field

Studies involving personal financial planning, consumer finance, financial literacy, behavioural economics, research methodology, statistics or data analysis may be advantageous.

No formal work experience is required.
