The Department of Employment and Labour is looking for three (3) motivated Administration Clerks to join the Management of Support Services at the Gqeberha Labour Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level professionals to provide essential employment services and administrative support within the Eastern Cape provincial operations.
Administration Clerk: Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate.
- Driver’s License: A valid license is considered an added advantage.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Labour Legislation, Regulations, and Employment Services Act.
- Public Service Act and departmental policies.
- Commitment to Batho Pele principles.
- Key Skills:
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Telephone etiquette and interviewing ability.
- Ability to interpret legislation and solve problems.
Administration Clerk: Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- ESSA System Management: Render registration services for work-seekers and learning opportunities on the Employment Services South Africa (ESSA) system.
- Employment Support: Refer work-seekers for professional employment counseling.
- Placement Assistance: Provide administrative support for placing candidates into work and learning opportunities.
- General Administration: Perform general office duties and participate in community advocacy sessions.
