Qualifications:
- Grade 12 certification with Mathematics and Physical Science preferred
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights without fear
- Good physical fitness
- Previous experience in a fire-related industry is advantageous
- Capacity to work in a team and handle stressful situations
- No criminal record
- Possession of a Code B(08) driver’s license
- Successful completion of required training for firefighters, including Firefighter 1, Hazmat Awareness, and First Aid level 3
- Physical assessment to include reach test, 2.4 Km run within specified time, push-ups, sit-ups, dead load carry, ladder climb, and claustrophobia/acrophobia test
- Written assessment covering Mathematics, Comprehension, behavioral evaluation, and medical examination must be passed before appointment
