Main purpose of the role
The successful incumbent will be obligated to ensure adherence to statutory requirements as outlined in the Pharmacy Act 53/1974, Medicines and Related Substances Control Act 101/1965 and all associated regulations. Commitment to quality in respect of pharmaceutical product integrity remains pivotal, with the incumbent acting as the deputy responsible pharmacist to regulatory authorities, whether domestic or foreign, as and when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assume responsibility for all compliance obligations set forth in the Pharmacy Act 53/1974, Medicines and Related Substances Act 101/1965 and associated regulations on behalf of the DSV Solutions’ business unit; • Upholding GxP principles at the DSV Solutions, Raceway facility; • Assume responsibility for DSV Solutions, Raceway medical device license at applicable health authorities; • Co-ordinate repackaging of medicines, as and when required; • Co-ordinate the destruction of medicine according to client- and regulatory requirements, as and when required; • Aid in remedying warehouse control- and management system discrepancies; • Maintain the flow of product and ensure accurate record keeping; • Active participation in stock disposition decisions in respect of product damage(s), market returns, product recalls and product complaints (pharmacovigilance); • Active participation in procedures associated with product lifecycle i.e. receiving, sampling, retention and other; • Develop and implement operational processes, procedures, process flows and / or other written documentation in pursuit of pharmaceutical quality, as and when required; • Assist with audit undertaking whether internal- or external audits, including but not limited to, procedure selfinspections, supplier-, client- and regulatory audits; • Active participation in CAPA process to ensure successful closure of identified shortcomings; • Support the maintenance of DSV’s central reporting repository in respect of DSV Solutions Raceway SLA’s; • Data analysis, report execution and process improvement in support of solution development, implementation and operational excellence, as and when required; • Act as tutor to pharmacist assistants and be registered as such with the South African Pharmacy Council, as and when required; • Provide assistance and apply knowledge, where needed, for general operational functions; • Review temperature monitoring equipment and related data, as and when required; • Active participation with facilities’ resources and infrastructure maintenance including but not limited to temperature probes, scale calibration and related; • Conducting a management review if the DSV Raceway facility; and • Close relations (including training & coaching) with Operational team members, Projects and Engineering-, DSV Learning and Development department, business units and DSV clients in the development and implementation of customised solutions.

Main purpose of the role
To partner business by ensuring the delivery of seamless, value added support to DSV. Main purpose of the role
The Senior Solutions Design and Analyst Engineer will be part of the Solution and Pricing department and will work closely with business development and facility general managers to maintain and growth the DSV Solutions business. Business growth will be mainly through Request For Quotation (RFQ) and/or consultation with new and existing customers. The requirement is also to support general managers to renew existing client at the end of their respective agreements.
As a secondary priority the role require take a leading role in developing Reporting Dashboards on BI Platforms (PowerBI and/or Tableau) for key DSV customers. The individual must be comfortable working with Big Data and clean, analyse, interpret and report back on large data sets. The role will also provide Supply Chain Consulting services to DSV customers in the form of Big Data Analytics, Supply Chain Opportunity Assessments, Network Design and Optimisation as well as Inventory Optimisation Services. The individual must be able to manage several clients across different industries and must be capable of gathering and translating their requirements into value adding services.
MS Word and PowerPoint skills is required to package the final solutions and commercials for submission to the client.
